The second film in Oliver Stone's Vietnam trilogy moves from the brutality of war in Platoon to its equally traumatic aftermath. Based on the memoir of combat veteran Ron Kovic, the film stars Tom Cruise as Kovic, whose gunshot wound in Vietnam left him paralyzed from the chest down. He is deeply embittered by neglect in a veteran's hospital and by the shattering of his patriotic idealism because of the horror and futility of the Vietnam conflict. While painfully and awkwardly adjusting to his disability and a changing definition of masculinity, Kovic joins the burgeoning movement of antiwar protest, culminating in a climactic appearance at the 1976 Democratic national convention. A powerfully intimate portrait that unfolds on an epic scale, Born on the Fourth of July is arguably Stone's best film (if you can forgive its often strident tone), and Cruise's Oscar-nominated role is uncompromising in its depiction of one man's personal anguish and political awakening

Un prince fortuné (Samy Frey) s'éprend de la belle, et projette de l'enlever... Un sommet du film pop fashion, une satire délirante du milieu mondain de la mode, et de la télévision... William Klein, esthète, poète, et photographe, entouré de son équipe de choc (Jean Rochefort, Philippe Noiret, Alice Sapritch ...), signe en 1966 une farce réjouissante sur la jet set fashion, et la dictature arrogante du bon goût orchestré par une certaine intelligencia des médias. Le regretté Roland Topor illustre le superbe générique de Qui Etes Vous Polly Maggoo ?, et Michel Legrand orchestre ici une brillante partition musicale, en osmose complète avec le génie artistique de Klein.
A noter : avec Fernando Arrabal dans un petit rôle, et la participation de la célèbre top modèle ébène des sixties Donyale Luna.

Set in 1935, a professor, archaeologist, and legendary hero by the name of Indiana Jones is back in action in his newest adventure. But this time he teams up with a night club singer named Wilhelmina "Willie" Scott and a twelve-year-old boy named Short Round. They end up in an Indian small distressed village, where the people believe that evil spirits have taken all their children away after a sacred precious stone was stolen! They also discovered the great mysterious terror surrounding a booby-trapped temple known as the Temple of Doom! Thuggee is beginning to attempt to rise once more, believing that with the power of all five Sankara stones they can rule the world! Now, it's all up to Indiana to put an end to the Thuggee campaign, rescue the lost children, win the girl and conquer the Temple of Doom.
