Bud Spencer e Terence Hill: Lo stuntman Elliot Vance (Terence Hill) e il sassofonista in libertà vigilata Greg Wonder (Bud Spencer) vengono chiamati da un'agenzia specializzata in sosia perché perfettamente somiglianti a due cugini miliardari brasiliani (interpretati anch'essi da Hill e Spencer), i quali hanno bisogno di venir sostituiti per sette giorni in tutto e per tutto a causa di un pericolo che corrono. Essi infatti, alla fine di quei sette giorni, avrebbero un contratto da firmare ma c'è qualcuno che glielo vuole impedire. Se i due sosia accettassero di prenderne il posto, riceverebbero in cambio, a testa, un milione di $, più un altro mezzo per sconfiggere la concorrenza. Quasi da subito però, i due miliardari, leggendo i giornali, arrivano quasi a pentirsi di averli ingaggiati perché i due sosia, col loro comportamento selvaggio e da "predatori" verso i nemici, rischiano di rovinarne la reputazione.

There are moments in his performance as Massai, the Apache warrior who wouldn't surrender with Geronimo, that seem choreographed to express the actor's exultation. Apache wasn't the first Western to sympathize with Native Americans done wrong, but it's among the liveliest--although, ironically, it was destined to be outshone in power and complexity by Aldrich and Lancaster's masterpiece Ulzana's Raid nearly two decades later. Typically of its time, Apache features non-Indians in all the Indian roles, including Jean Peters as Massai's beloved Nalinle and Charles Buchinsky (later Bronson) as her other suitor, Hondo, one of the tribesmen who has donned U.S. Cavalry blue. John McIntire contributes his crusty moral authority as Al Sieber, the real-life scout who helped defeat Geronimo and then Massai, and respected both. John Dehner is, as usual, a real bastard. | ” |

Avant d'être appelé, il avait fait passer son travail en priorité devant sa femme et son fils restés seuls pendant plusieurs mois et dont il est maintenant séparé. Ses principes ne l'autorisent pas à participer de quelque manière que ce soit à cette chasse aux sorcières, ce qui l'amène à ne plus pouvoir travailler...
David Merrill (De Niro), a fictitious director in 1950s Hollywood, returns from abroad to find that a rising tide of McCarthyism and the Red Scare has led to his not being allowed to work in films, despite his love for this career. He will only be allowed to direct once he implicates colleagues as Communist agents. He must decide whether to direct, or to stick to principle at the cost of his life's work.
