Entre Paris et Le Touquet, deux couples et leurs enfants se croisent. Leur rencontre va fortement perturber leurs vacances. D'un côté, une bourgeoise chic et oisive de la banlieue parisienne voit le couple qu'elle forme avec un riche agent immobilier s'enliser. Elle a également une amie sans le sou qui ne veut pas le montrer et une fille très délurée qui a pour amant un employé de son père. De l'autre, une femme très belle est persécutée par un mari jaloux, qui est lui-même confronté à un play-boy collectionneur de conquêtes.

Au stade de Twinkenham, le parc des Princes londonien, se dispute le match de rugby France-Angleterre. Les « supporters » français, venus de la capitale dans un magnifique car se sont groupés aux tribunes et encouragent de leurs énergiques acclamations les tricolores ! Dans son enthousiasme délirant, l'un d'eux vient de donner un violent coup de coude dans la mâchoire de son voisin, Robert, et lui casse ses deux incisives, fragiles il est vrai, puisque montées sur pivot. Or Robert, qui se marie dans deux jours, a caché à sa délicieuse fiancée, Nicole, qu'il faisait une petite fugue sportive à Londres et Nicole le croit parti en voyage d'affaires à Bordeaux. Robert doit donc, de toute urgence, se faire soigner par un dentiste londonien. Ses camarades le conduisent à travers Londres, dans un car résonant des joyeuses plaisanteries des Français en goguette jusqu'au domicile d'un praticien dont l'adresse vient de lui être donnée, oh coïncidence ! par la belle-soeur de Robert, Française de Montmartre mariés à un lord anglais et devenue lady Brisbum... Robert, introduit auprès du dentiste, est immédiatement traité. Les dents sont vite remises en place, mais Robert doit demeurer plusieurs heures sans ouvrir la bouche. Convaincu de l'importance de cette recommandation, Robert, qui s'ennuie quelque peu dans le salon d'attente, essaye le casque et la pèlerine d'un policeman anglais qui vient de lui succéder dans le fauteuil du dentiste. Mais, tandis qu'il s'admire vêtu de cette nouvelle tenue, un cri retentit sur le palier. Il sort, et sa présence de « policeman » met en déroute un gangster armé qui menaçait la star Diana Dors. Alors, la tragédie se déclenche ! Robert, perdu dans Londres, ne sachant pas l'anglais, vêtu en policeman et dans l'impossibilité au sens fort du terme d'ouvrir la bouche, se trouve mêlé à une série de poursuites rocambolesques. Il est notamment aux prises avec la police qui, de concert avec la star, veut le féliciter de son attitude courageuse face au gangster ; puis avec sa belle-soeur, lady Brisburn, qui le soupçonne fort d'être venu incognito à Londres pour enterrer sa vie de garçon. Mais, bien sûr, après d'inextricables complications, Robert redevient l'homme libre et heureux, au sourire éclatant de dents saines, prêt à convoler en justes noces, le lundi à Paris, avec sa charmante Nicole.

A young boy becomes infactuated by a circus act assisstant. On one side the boy is looking for a mother figure and is comforted by the assistant, but on the other hand is beginning to develope urges for her. .... He attempts to win her heart, even though he is only about twelve years old. He grdually gets involved in her life and becomes emotionally attached. The ending captures the pain and torment you can encounter when you become infactuated by someone you can't have. The film leaves you wondering about the time when you went through the same things yourself. A very interesting piece of work with a few odd quirks that really get you involved in this young boys life and the torment he goes through as he attempts to understand the urges and feelings he is having.

The story opens with the death of Lawrence in a motorcycle accident in London at the age of 47, then flashbacks to recount his adventures: as a young intelligence officer in Cairo in 1916, he is given leave to investigate the progress of the Arab revolt against the Turks in World War I. In the desert, he organizes a guerrilla army and--for two years--leads the Arabs in harassing the Turks with desert raids, train-wrecking and camel attacks. Eventually, he leads his army northward and helps a British General destroy the power of the Ottoman Empire.
