Desire is singer-songwriter Bob Dylan's 17th studio album, released by Columbia Records in 1976.
A well-received follow-up to Blood on the Tracks, Desire reached #1 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart for 5 weeks, becoming one of Dylan's top-selling studio albums (currently certified double platinum), while reaching #3 in the UK.

In 2003, the album was ranked number 174 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Also in 2003, Columbia/Legacy reissued 15 selected titles from Dylan's catalog as hybrid SACDs, playable in both regular CD players and Super Audio CD players. Each title is packaged as a digipak, containing the full original artwork. On each of the titles, and on each of the layers, the remastered sound is spectacular, a considerable upgrade from the initial CD pressings.

Veronica Leigh was born and raised in California. She has been surrounded by music her whole life, and took on the role of performer quite easily. Both her grandmother and her mother were singers and dancers and from a very young age it was apparent that Veronica loved to perform but mostly loved to sing. She would dance around listening to the sounds of Jazz, Blues and Country. Some of the first songs she ever sang were those of Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Patsy Cline. She learned how to do licks and harmonize by studying horn music her father would listen to and singing along.

The first thing that hits you when you throw in this disc is the power of Lisa Angelle's voice. The opening track, the rocking country "4, 3, 2, 1," gets the record off to an energetic start and establishes Angelle's power as a singer and a songwriter. Unusual in country music, she wrote all of the lyrics on the record; she teamed with co-producer Andrew Gold to write the music on most of the tracks.

Kris Kristofferson was at his commercial peak as a recording artist at the time that Full Moon, his first duo album with Rita Coolidge, was released in September 1973. His single "Why Me" had topped the country charts two months earlier, and his album "Jesus Was a Capricorn" was about to do the same thing. And, only weeks before Full Moon's release, the couple had gotten married. All of that made for a terrific send-off for the record, which benefited the careers of both participants. Not surprisingly, it was an album of love songs.

'Walking Among The Living' is a wonderful collection of songs that were either written or co-written by Jon. By listening to all fourteen tracks you will soon understand that his songs are more than "filler" or "fluff" - there is a lot of depth to each line in every song that he sings. The only song Jon didn't write is "My Life."

Despite the fact that he was signed during Nashville's most serious identity crisis, Jimmy Wayne may not be a "pure country artist" (whatever that phrase means anymore). But he does possess two things that the great singer/songwriters in any genre should: passion and honesty. Wayne writes edgy life-and-love songs that come from his own autobiography, much of it spent surviving a broken family and homelessness. His tunes are informed by influences ranging from Steve Earle to Daryl Hall to Don Henley. Wayne's darkness -- and it is considerable -- is tempered by the openness in the grain of his voice and his vulnerability. His youth is not ashamed to sing straight about the weight of his brokenness and yet his willingness to endure it, because love in any guise is better than its alternative.

Aaron Lines entered the Cancountry music scene in 2001 and has proceeded to rack-up an enviable 12 consecutive Top 10 singles. Moments That Matter, his third album, will likely keep that hit streak intact, even though this collection takes a more hands-on approach with Aaron Lines writing or co-writing all ten songs, producing the album himself…and even becoming a record label ‘boss’, by forming his own record label to launch the project.

Keith Urban had a rough go of it in late 2006, when the tour for his brilliant "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing" was delayed fore health-related reasons. Urban has nonetheless been a road dog in 2007, and this greatest-hits package couldn't have come at a better time.

Anyone who dismisses Emerson Drive as 'just another boy band' is missing out on some great music. Countrified is their third album and their first release with Midas Records. It is a solid album that showcases their vocal unity as well as their incredible musical talent. It is well worth adding it to any collection. It is a fun album to listen to.

Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades have come together for a second time as the duo Shaw-Blades in order to pay homage to the songs that have influenced the directions they have each taken with their own musical careers, by releasing the eleven-track deep album, Influence.
