Sugarland comes back with another set of fresh, contemporary country music songs that should only increase their ever-growing fanbase. They have emerged as one of the hottest contemporary music acts in the country. With a solid debut album, and now a terrific sophomore release, coupled with very positive reviews of their live performances, it seems the sky is the limit for Sugarland. The duo, consisting of Atlanta natives Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, are indeed "enjoying the ride" hence the title of their second album.

Anthony Gomes hails from that big-city hotbed-of-blues…no, not Chicago …no, not Memphis …yeah, Toronto . Actually, Gomes comes to the blues world via Chicago , where he set up shop in the early 90’s. ‘Unity’ is his third album, and his most accomplished.

Anthony Gomes was born and raised in Toronto, but in his early 20s he pulled a Muddy Waters and moved to Chicago, where he found a sweet home for four years before heading off to his current base of Nashville. As he explains in a call from “the mountains of Arizona”, en route to a show in Las Vegas, Gomes relocated to the Windy City because he wanted to be part of a great pool of musicians. “I moved there to learn how to play the blues,” he says, “and then I moved to Nashville to learn how to write a song.”

Beth Nielsen Chapman's newest project, an impressive double CD set titled Prism, seamlessly weaves her voice through an eclectic mix of songs from many different languages, cultures and spiritual traditions. The product of a decade of hard work, Prism combines songs of devotion from Buddhist, Jewish, Sufi, Muslim, Shaker, Negro-spiritual, Hindu, Catholic, Protestant and other traditions, and also includes an entire CD of new music. It is a sequel to 2004's acclaimed Hymns and the album is scheduled for US release on February 5, 2008.

Hawley's worked with and/or been praised by a lot of respected heavy-hitters - Mike Mills of R.E.M., Radiohead, Baz Luhman, Nancy Sinatra and Beth Orton just to name a few. Hawley is also set to provide vocals for an upcoming Arctic Monkey's B-side called Bad Woman and has played guitar for Gwen Stefani.

The Oklahoma Centennial Commission has released “Oklahoma Rising,” a limited edition two-disc set celebrating the state’s rich musical heritage. “Oklahoma Rising” features a blend of classic and contemporary Oklahoma artists from all genres. The once-in-a-lifetime CD collection includes 46 songs by 43 Oklahoma recording artists and groups. The first disc, called “A Unique History,” highlights celebrated musicians from the state’s earlier days including Gene Autry, Chet Baker, Patti Page, Charlie Christian, BJ Thomas, Leon Russell and Leona Mitchell. The second disc, aptly named “An Extraordinary Future,” celebrates many of Oklahoma’s current stars and up-and-comers, including The All American Rejects, Brooks and Dunn, Katrina Elam, The Tractors, Sandi Patty and The Flaming Lips.
