Qisar As Suwar by Sheikh AbdelBasset AbdesSamad
Genre Quran Mujawwad Hafalat | MP3 320 Kbps | 78.0 MB | RS.com
I posted the whole Quran previously by Sheikh AbdelBasset AbdelSamad but this one is a rare record. As first you can hear the 60's radio host introducing the recitation so it's 100% vintage, second it's a hafla and that 's the summum of art in Quran recitation. The radiophonic record gives a touch of authenticity to this master piece of Quran recitation. So enjoy this very moving recitation.

Classical | FLAC + CUE | covers + booklet | 2 CD | 381 MB
Performed by the vocal ensemble 'A sei voci'.
| “ | "These discs make us understand how Carlo Gesualdo would have imagined the interpretation of 'Répons', the ultimate religious work of the 'prince-assassin'. A homogenous choir and mastery of effects give these pieces their true reading: an explosion of the senses, of sadness, mourning and despair." lilouette (customer review at amazon.fr) | ” |

Carol Album: Seven Centuries of Christmas
Label: EMI | Date: 1990 | FLAC+CUE: 225MB | MP3 (HQ VBR): 104MB
Genre: Sacred

Most people think of Christmas carols as originating from ancient--or at least olden-times, and indeed, many of the most enduring ones have survived for many centuries. Andrew Parrott and his Taverner Consort take us back seven centuries, in fact, and thoughtfully mix the old tunes ("Swete was the song," "This endere nyghth," "Nova! nova!") with more recent tunes. Parrott's musicians offer interesting takes on such familiar carols as "Silent Night" and "God rest ye merry, gentlemen." "Silent Night" sounds like an Austrian folk tune, complete with guitar accompaniment that reportedly was used in its original performance; "God rest ye..." is performed in the style of an English country church congregation--and uses a different tune from the one we usually hear. Various period instruments add to the color and flavor, and the arrangements are original and very effective.David Vernier | ” |

Orthodox spiritual music—Chanted by the Kovilj Monastery Choir, Serbia.
Sacred | EAC APE+CUE+LOG | Covers, Booklet + PDF | 1CD 202 MB | RS.com 3% recovery record | 48:18
The concert performed and recorded on Belgrade Music Festival, 18th October 2001 in the atrium of the National Museum in Belgrade.
| “ | …Regarding the Choir members chant itself, it is the firm intonational basis and rhythmical orientation and above all the lack of excessive vibrato on the one hand, as well as the mannerism–either concert or opera-like–on the other, that highly distinguish it. Thus the supreme qualities of their performing are to be seen in their own, unique, and cultivated style. | ” |
