The Go-Betweens were an internationally renowned band from Australia, formed by Robert Forster and Grant McLennan in Brisbane in 1977. Before Grant Mc Lennan and Robert Forster parted ways in the first incarnation of the wonderful Go-Betweens in 1989 after their beautiful and most "commercial" outing "16 Lovers Lane" again bombed commercially despite yet again gaining widespread critical acclaim, they recorded these so-called "Botany sessions". The album that was intended to bear fruit therefrom was apparently to be called Freakchild. The first (and longer) part of the sessions is a solo acoustic set, with only either Forster and McLennan performing their new songs. For the latter seven songs, the band joins in. The Botany Sessions contain some great songs and are a must have for fans. One can only imagine how the ultimate album might have turned out. Too bad it was never to be.

The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan was Dylan's second studio album, released in 1963 by Columbia Records. The album, still frequently cited as one of his best, established Dylan as a songwriter of premier importance.
Dylan spent an extensive period in the studio in readiness for the final album, honing his own compositions as well as classics written by other artists, working with iconic producer John Hammond. With the working title at the time of Bob Dylan's Blues, these sessions took place in NYC intermittently between April- Nov 1962. Due to Dylan recording material over several months in preparation for the album, there was a very large surplus of songs. All these tracks are great, originals and covers alike, and the recording quality is nigh perfect.
