Sarah Brightman- Sarah Brightman- Harem World Tour- Live From Las Vegas(CD-Album- 2004)
Genre: Vocal | Album | FLAC 450MB + Sample
September 2004| Publisher: Angel | Language: English - Italian - French | RapidShare

While the sales of Sarah Brightman's ambitious, Middle Eastern-themed 2003 album Harem may have fallen short of its predecessor, the veteran UK chanteuse's popularity as a live performer has only mushroomed. This live recording of her ambitious, sold-out Harem World Tour engagement at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Arena is testament to that appeal, begging the question: Will Brightman become the Grateful Dead of classical crossover? Indeed, abetted by the rich sonic textures of longtime producer/collaborator Frank Peterson, the worldbeat conceits of her recent studio recordings are folded into a larger, even more expansive live vision here. Brightman's overt dramatic instincts and oft-chaemeleonic vocal abilities drive a slate of material that stretches from the Arabian Nights/Madame Butterflypastiche of Harem's seductive "It's A Beautiful Day" through surprisingly effective classical/rock reinventions of Kansas' "Dust in the Wind" and The Moody Blues' chestnut "Nights in White Satin" to expected classical bowings "Nessun Dorma" and the obligatory nod to "Phantom of the Opera"Harem's East-meets-Eurodisco sensibility will also welcome the melodic new studio bonus cut, "Snow in the Sahara."

As all Sixties music fans will know, the Rollings Stones' album Their Satanic Majesties Request was their psychedelic answer to The Beatles' Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album. On the Sgt. Peppers album cover, their is a Shirley Temple doll (far right) wearing a shirt that has the words on it, "Welcome The Rolling Stones." As a friendly payback tribute, The Stones hid the faces of the four Beatles in the 3-D photo on the Satanic Majesties album cover. George Harrison's face is the easiest to spot. It's below Charlie Watt's arm (far right). John Lennon's face is just above the camel figure's hump (lower right foreground). Paul McCartney and Ringo are much harder to see, due to the blurred effect of the 3-D photo. Paul's face is to the left (the viewer's left) of Charlie Watt's right arm. Paul's face is tilted to the left and well hidden in the yellow-white flowers. Ringo's face is on the far right side of the photo. Their is a large red flower with a yellow center that looks like a large eye covering Bill Wyman's left arm. Ringo's face is just right of the flower, blending with the red flowers around his face.
If you don't have the vinyl album, you'll have to use the cd cover, but you'll only find George and John. The photo used for the cd was cropped, so Paul's and Ringo's faces were cut off. Have fun hunting.

Maurane - L'un pour l'autre

Maurane – L’un pour l’autre
French | Jazz-Blues | 1998 | MP3 | 320 kbps | 176 mb

This is a collection of Maurane singles, well balanced between her ballads and her more upbeat, full of energy songs. It covers her early recordings influenced by Jazz, some upbeat and humourous ("Danser", "Toutes les mamas", "Pas gaie la pagaille", "Du mal"), others being ballads showing a more sensitive side and a powerfull voice ("ça casse", "Tout pour un seul homme", "Sur un prélude de Bach" - that one being, for real, based on a classical Bach piece) - or how to teach some of today's young divas that singing does not mean screaming, even if you have the lungs for it.

Julien Clerc - Utile

Canadian thrush Celine Dion is primarily a singles artist, which is a good thing, because the soaring, epic style she brings to nearly all of her material is thrilling in four-minute bursts, but nearly overwhelming at album length. Falling into You is Dion's finest attempt to temper that approach--mixing low-key love songs and dance pop between showstoppers such as "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and the Up Close and Personal movie theme, "Because You Loved Me." Dion's take on Tina Turner's Phil Spector experiment "River Deep, Mountain High" is game, but there's little doubt which singer hails from the Great White North and which one is from Nutbush.

It all begins when the lights go down. For Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus, it has been that way since they were playing for a handful of people in a club in Nashville's Printers Alley. These days, of course, they play for thousands of screaming fans a night, drawn by state-of-the-art production and sound, and by spectacular vocal harmonies in service to an ever-expanding catalogue of hits. In between, it was the magic of those performances that catapulted Rascal Flatts into the front ranks of entertainers in all genres.
