Motörhead, is a long-lived and iconic British heavy metal band formed in 1975 by former roadie for Jimi Hendrix, bassist, singer and songwriter Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister. They are widely recognized as progenitors of thrash & speed metal, a fusion of heavy metal and what was soon to become hardcore punk. Consequently they influenced countless rock, punk rock, and heavy metal bands that followed. Usually a power trio, Motörhead had particular success in the early 1980s with several successful singles in the UK Top 40 chart. The albums Overkill, its follow on, Bomber, Ace of Spades, and particularly No Sleep ‘til Hammersmith, cemented Motörhead’s reputation as one of Britain’s foremost heavy metal groups. While Motörhead are typically classified as heavy metal, speed metal or thrash metal (and often regarded as a foundational influence on the latter two styles); Lemmy dislikes such labels, preferring to describe the band’s music simply as “Rock and Roll”...

Girlschool, one of the first all-female heavy metal bands to find fame, debuted in 1978. Girlschool have toured with the likes of Motörhead, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and many other influential rock bands during their illustrious career. 2008 brings about the 30th anniversary of Girlschool and they are commemorating it with the release of their 30th Anniversary album entitled Legacy. Featuring a plethora of special guests, including Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Ronnie James Dio (Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Dio), Lemmy and Phil Campbell from Motörhead, "Fast" Eddie Clarke (Fastway, ex-Motörhead) and members of Twisted Sister, this record will surely show the true Legacy that is Girlschool.

Spiritual Beggars fans had their first chance to hear new front man JB on the "On Fire" album, the predecessor to their current release "Demons". However, the current line up have only performed seldom shows to date. One of those performances has been documented on the DVD, "Live Fire!", taken from the band's 2003 show at London's Mean Fiddler club.

According to Allmusic, Dickinson "was the most acclaimed and instantly recognizable vocalist to emerge from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement of the early '80s".
