Wikipedia: Type O Negative is a band from Brooklyn, New York City. Although commonly viewed as a goth metal band, Type O has also incorporated elements of doom metal, thrash metal, blues, and alternative rock into their work. Their dramatic lyrical emphasis on themes of romance, depression, and death has resulted in the nickname "The Drab Four" (in homage to The Beatles "Fab Four" moniker). The band went Platinum with 1993's Bloody Kisses and have gained an enormous underground following with seven studio albums, two best-of compilations, and concert DVDs. Their most recent album is 2007's Dead Again. Their true second album, Bloody Kisses, was released in 1993 to critical and listener acclaim, and eventually became the first record for Roadrunner to reach certified Platinum status in the US. The band had made huge strides in the progression of their musical style.

"Mando II" is Greek singer Mando's comeback album, after a four year absence from the Greek music scene. It was released on May 30, 2008 by Minos EMI's Polymusic and will be Mando's first release since 2003. The writers are Pegasos and Vicky Gerotheodorou as well as many well known song composers, including Mando herself. The title of the album represents a new start, and second chapter in her music career after taking time off to be with her family.

International pressing of her 2008 includes one bonus track, 'Sarahbande / Fleurs Du Mal - Reprise'. Recorded in Germany, Symphony features all new songs and is created with Sarah's long-time producer Frank Peterson. The repertoire ranges from beautiful ballads "Symphony", "Fleur du Mal" and epic power rock scores "I Will Be With You" to interpretations of the work "Jupiter" from Holst's The Planets on "Running" to Faith Hill's "There You'll Be" sung in Italian as "Sarai Qui" and many more. On this album she reunites with Andrea Bocelli to sing "Canto Della Terra", as well as singing duets with Fernando Lima (Mexican tenor) on "Passion" and Paul Stanley (Kiss) on "I Will Be With You (Where The Lost Ones Go) ". The album also showcases Sarah linguistic vocal skills by singing in Spanish, Italian, French and for the first time German.

Wikipedia: Lacrimosa is a duo led by German Tilo Wolff, the main composer, and Finnish Anne Nurmi, currently based in Switzerland, but originally from Germany. Lacrimosa's musical genre originally was Darkwave or rather downright gothic. Since 1993, their style has shifted much more towards symphonic metal and gothic metal. Their musical style mixes heavy metal and gothic rock sounds along with violin, trumpet and more classical instruments, although their musical development throughout the years has also led to changes in instrumentation. Lacrimosa's lyrics are written almost exclusively in German, although since the 1995 album Inferno every album has featured one or two songs in English, generally written by Anne Nurmi. Finnish has also appeared in the spoken intro to two songs (Schakal on Inferno and The Turning Point on Elodia) and on a bonus track in a limited edition release of Fassade called Vankina. Their lyrics are mainly about loneliness, sadness, darkness, despair and love.

Wikipedia: Siouxsie & the Banshees were a British rock band that formed in 1976. Led by the singer Siouxsie Sioux and the bassist Steven Severin, the band's only constant members, the Banshees formed at the advent of the British punk scene and soon became one of the major bands in the post-punk era. Their music influenced a wide range of very diverse bands over the years amongst them The Cure, Massive Attack, Garbage and more recently LCD Soundsystem. The group released a total of eleven studio albums from 1978 to 1995. "Bromley Contingent" members Siouxsie Sioux and Steven Severin wanted to be exemplars of a fleeting punk purism. With two borrowed musicians, Marco Pirroni on guitars and John Simon Ritchie, later famous as Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols, on drums, they got up on stage by taking the punk ethos to its literal conclusion: creating a conflict with the audience. Their set consisted of a lengthy and chaotic improvisation based around "The Lord's Prayer", which also included lines from songs such as "Deutschland, Deutschland über alles", "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", "Smoke on the Water" and "Twist and Shout". The number lasted twenty minutes and the band split up at the end of the night.
