Wikipedia: Air is a French (from region Île-de-France) music duo, consisting of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel. The name Air is a backronym for Amour, Imagination, Rêve which translates to Love, Imagination, Dream. Air's debut EP, Premiers Symptômes, was followed by the critically acclaimed album Moon Safari, the re-release of Premiers Symptômes, The Virgin Suicides (soundtrack), 10 000 Hz Legend, Everybody Hertz, Talkie Walkie and Pocket Symphony. Air's music is often referred to as electronica; their form of electronic music was influenced by the synthesizer sounds of the 1970s such as Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and Francis Lai. Other influences include: psychedelic rock pioneers Pink Floyd; Krautrockers, Tangerine Dream; Jean-Jacques Perrey (although there are some echoes of dance music styles in the production); and French crooner Serge Gainsbourg.

The release of one EP and one album made Fishbone realize they could come out with another EP. This time they paid tribute to the holiday known as Christmas with this 4-song chestnut.

The recording's title is a lot like the music: a little left-of-center, maybe a bit spaced, oddly promising. If the idea of some head-nodding acid-jazz colored with splashes of smooth-jazz sensuality and easy-going pop sounds appealing, find a place in the relaxed, informal conga line being led by Phoenix-based saxophonist Cliff Sarde and shuffle along. A modest but mostly enjoyable affair, Smoke 'n Function is a one-man, all-instrumental production (primarily keyboards, MIDI loops, sax, samples) that politely ruffles its easy-listening ambiance with subtle grooves and brief incantations from Zuni, Navajo, and Tibetan voices. You can catch traces of influences from 3rd Force (the clipped beats of "Smokee") to Fleetwood Mac (the laconic, romantic "Mikaela's Song") throughout the disc, and while tempos shift from track to track (say, from the quick-paced piping on "Native Groove" into the sultry pulse of "Seven-Thirty"), somehow the mood remains attractively unified. Above-average background music.

"Mando II" is Greek singer Mando's comeback album, after a four year absence from the Greek music scene. It was released on May 30, 2008 by Minos EMI's Polymusic and will be Mando's first release since 2003. The writers are Pegasos and Vicky Gerotheodorou as well as many well known song composers, including Mando herself. The title of the album represents a new start, and second chapter in her music career after taking time off to be with her family.
