Aine Minogue - Between The Worlds (1997)
mp3 | 121 mb | 320 kbps | 51 min
Genre: New Age, Celtic

The journey begins as movement between worlds and the beginning of the search; moving from birth to death, from the old world to the new, and from this world to the next. Here, the sea is a metaphor for the carrier whose female fluidity divides and joins the male solidity of the land. As the movements of the sea go from turbulent to calm, nothing is assured. The quest for the betweenness of old and new, the place that is neither sand nor sea, leads to where both embrace in a mosaic of foreign sounds from different corners of the world.

Dolores Keane - Night Owl (2000)
Genre: Celtic Folk | MP3 192 Kbps | 71.9 Mb | 52:52

Night Owl is a fascinating collection of traditional and modern ballads from Irish diva Dolores Keane. Keane's exceptional voice has made her one of the best-known proponents of Celtic music in the world today. On Night Owl, she is joined by a wealth of veteran Celtic musicians, including John Faulkner (guitar and vocals) and Eoin O'Riabhaigh (uilleann pipes and whistle). In addition to traditional Celtic instruments, Keane's haunting vocals are enriched on this breathtaking recording by the Greek bouzouki, the Olwell bamboo flute, and the cello. The results are extraordinary: lyrics that harken back to days long past find perfect realization through the use of exquisite contemporary arrangements. – Alula Records

Okay, the Acadamy Award & Golden Globe Award voters didn't agree with me, but who are you going to believe: those guys, or me? LOL
Yes, I do believe that "May It Be" will be listened to long after the other nominees are forgotten, but do bear in mind that I am highly biased for all of Enya's work. For many, it may take several listens to completely appreciate. It has a certain mysticism to it, much as you would expect from a song composed for the LORD OF THE RINGS film.
However, I don't think "May It Be", brilliant as it is, matches "Isobella" in beauty, healing quality, and enchantment. Both "Isobella" and "The First of Autumn" have been unavailable in the U.S. although both were on the Japanese pressing of "A Day Without Rain".
"The First of Autumn" is the most energetic song of the three, and close to equalling the first two. While I do appreciate the thoughts of another reviewer who felt quite swept up in the sequence of the three, I personally feel the disc would've been better balanced with "The First of Autumn" between the more mystical and reflective songs, but that is hardly a criticism.
This is definitely a must have disc for all who love Enya's music. It's Enya at her very best. – Neal Clark Reynolds
