Sharon Bezaly has appeared with leading symphony and chamber orchestras in Japan], China, Israel, Central and Western Europe, England, and Scandinavia. She has also performed at venues including the Vienna Musikverein, Châtelet in Paris, Tokyo's Suntory Hall, and at festivals with Gidon Kremer of the Bartók Quartet. In May 2006, she appeared at Orchestra Hall with Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra.
There have been seven commissioned concertos written for her, including ones by Kalevi Aho, Sofia Gubaidulina, Christian Lindberg, and Zhou Long. As of May 2006, there are currently six more being composed.
Bezaly has released 18 award-winning CDs with the Swedish record company BIS. She is married to Robert von Bahr, the director of the company.

In May 2005, Cream -- the band of guitarist Eric Clapton, bassist Jack Bruce and drummer Ginger Baker that forever changed rock 'n' roll -- will perform for the first time in nearly 37 years. One of the most highly anticipated reunions in rock history, the series of concerts will take place at London's Royal Albert Hall, where the band played its farewell concert on November 26, 1968. Commemorating the event is the debut of the groundbreaking group's definitive two-CD anthology, Cream - Gold (Polydor/UMe), released April 26, 2005. Featuring 29 newly digitally remastered recordings, Cream - Gold embraces the band both in the studio and on stage.

The organ is the mightiest instrument, capable of a huge dynamic range from the quietest pianissimo to the most glorious fortissimo.

The benefits of CD mastering on Can't Buy a Thrill are immediately apparent from the opening bar of the first song. The phasiness and distortion "halo" around percussion, in particular cymbals, which was distractingly audible on the LP is now gone. Cymbals in "Do It Again" now have an appropriate metallic ring rather than being lost in a hazy treble wash. The complex interwoven jazz-inspired melody and harmony are stripped clean and the full sophistication of early Dan can be fully appreciated.

Def Leppard set itself apart from the rest of the Eighties hard rock bands by having a unique, loud sound and power ballads that weren't quite as gushy as the other guys. When you hear a Def Leppard song, you know it. You won't confuse this group with anybody else. That's what makes Def Leppard so outstanding. They had a distinctive sound that connected all of their songs, yet none of their songs sounded alike. This perfect formula led to a slew of hits, most coming from "Hysteria."

Hard-rock juggernauts Guns 'N' Roses arrived as rock & roll saviors in a dark time of generic hair metal and bloated pop. With only five studio albums to draw from (one being the all-covers SPAGHETTI INCIDENT), nearly a third of the material on GREATEST HITS is unsurprisingly devoted to other people's songs. A Woman and a Man is the sixth studio album by American singer Belinda Carlisle, released in the United Kingdom on September 23, 1996 by Chrysalis Records. It was the first album Carlisle had released since departing Virgin Records. The album is full of pop rock songs that show how Carlisle's style had matured compared to her earlier releases, written by Rick Nowels, Maria Vidal, Ellen Shipley, Charlotte Caffey, Neil Finn and Roxette cofounder Per Gessle who also produced one of the tracks.
It was released in the United States in 1997 (see 1997 in music) on the Ark 21 Records label. The track listing was different compared to the original; it was only ten tracks long and did not include "Listen to Love", "Love Doesn't Live Here" and "Always Breaking My Heart" but instead had covers of the songs "Jealous Guy" by John Lennon and "The Ballad of Lucy Jordan" by Shel Silverstein.---Wikipedia

Led Zeppelin IV is the common, but unofficial name of the untitled fourth album of English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on November 8, 1971. It has no official title printed anywhere on the album, but is called Led Zeppelin IV after the band's previous three albums. Atlantic Records catalogues have used the names Four Symbols and The Fourth Album. Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page frequently refers to the album in interviews as Led Zeppelin IV, while singer Robert Plant thinks of it as "the fourth album, that's it". It is one of the best-selling albums in history, with over 23 million units sold in the United States, third most by any artist of all-time.

Wikipedia: Silverchair is an Australian alternative rock band. The band formed as Innocent Criminals in Newcastle, New South Wales, in 1992, with their current lineup of vocalist and guitarist Daniel Johns, bass guitarist Chris Joannou, and drummer Ben Gillies. Silverchair have been highly successful in the Australian recording industry, receiving the industry's flagship awards, the ARIA Awards, a record 20 times. The band has also received two APRA Awards. Silverchair's sound has evolved throughout their career, differing sounds on specific albums steadily growing more ambitious over the years, from grunge/post-grunge on their debut to their more recent orchestral prog-infused chamber-pop. The songwriting of Daniel Johns has been noted as improving steadily, while the band has developed an increased element of complexity in later works. Gillies notes that Silverchair will often "run the risk of losing fans" in their work, and this was evident in the changes in musical direction in Diorama and Young Modern. However, he described this as a good thing, describing the fact "that we haven’t been pigeonholed, and people really don’t know what to expect" as one of the attractive elements of the band. Despite the ups and downs of success at a young age, Gillies says the band "appreciate what we’ve achieved and what we’ve got" in their careers.
