Winning Chess Tactics Illustrated
World Leisure Marketing Ltd | 1978-06 | ISBN: 0883650606 | 216 pages | PDF | 4,1 Mb

This book offers an entertaining way to test your skills and train yourself with 300 positions taken from actual games. I loved this book because you don't need to have a chessboard at hand, you just try to solve the problems looking at the position diagram on the book. This alone is a good training for your brain, helping to develop the capacity to think ahead and visualize combinations in your head, after all when one is in an actual game you have to be able to analyze positions and visualize moves and combinations. I truly believe anyone can benefit from exercising his analytical and visualization abilities

Bobby Fischers Outrageous Chess Moves
Fireside | 1985-10-14 | ISBN: 0671606093 | 144 pages | PDF | 7,1 Mb

I found this a refreshing change from the usual chess problem or instructional book. Here you can play through the book and score yourself to see how well you do. Then you go back through them again to see how you can improve with better understanding. It's also good for returning to after a good time has passed, and see if you do better or worse.

Rapid Chess Improvement (Everyman Chess)
Everyman Chess | 2002-06-01 | ISBN: 1857442695 | 128 pages | PDF | 17,1 Mb

This is the ideal book for serious adult players who want to improve. It describes a study plan that came about thanks to a re-evaluation of standard chess teaching and includes several unique components aimed at improving deficiencies in the play of adult players. This book is the only one of its kind for the simple reason that it has been written by an author who hugely improved his own rating over a twelve month period by following his own advice. He therefore fully understands the challenges faced by enthusiastic players who are relatively new to the game. This is in sharp contrast to most books aimed at this level which are usually written by very strong players who have long forgotten what it feels like to be starting out in the game. (6 1/4 x 9 1/4, 128 pages, diagrams)

Finally, a thinking method that works! It is simple, flexible, and realistic, very human unlike Kotov and Silman's suggestions. The chapter on "stepping stones" and visualization are excellent, as well as all the mating patterns in the appendex. A great book to improve your game.
