All Creatures Great and Small James Herriot
Total Duration 15:43:12 | Total MP3 Size 377.83 | Encoded At CBR 56 kbit/s 8000 Hz Mono | Unabridged

These are the stories that catapulted James Herriot to literary fame. When this book was first published, it was a simple volume of memoirs by an unknown Scottish veterinarian. But within a year, the book became recognized as a masterpiece. And in the two and a half decades that ollowed, Dr. Herriot became one of the most universally loved authors of our time.

Now as then, All Creatures Great and Small is full of humor, warmth, pathos, drama, and James Herriot's love of life. His journey across the Yorkshire dales, and his encounters with humans and dogs, cows and kittens, are lovingly told by Christopher Timothy with all the fascination, affection and joy that suffuses Dr. Herriot's works.

@synapsedkb - thank you!

You asked if anyone had any requests? I'm wondering if you might have any Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, or any other Conservative authors?

I'm also hoping for a book on the rise and fall of the roman empire, or anything that's history based.

Really appreciate your generosity of spirit:)

@wooster- history I can do. However, most of my political books are liberal authors ;-] but I will see what I can do. Sorry but I definitely will not post Ann Coulter. I will look for hannity, O'Reilly, etc, tho.

@synapsedkb:
Thank you so much for this wonderful audio-book. If you have more audio-books of similar caliber I would love to see them here. I like audio-books very much and I am told that the audio medium for literature is on a steep upswing these days. Why doesn't Avaxhome have a seperate category fore Audio-Books???

@synapsedkb- LOL (re: Coulter) I happen to like her and what she says about Liberals - but I realise she's so bold that it upsets some people! :) :)

Not to worry though. One other request. I'm a _big_fan of James Herriot. I've searched all over the place for one of his audio books called 'All things wise and wonderful' and can't find it.

If you do have it, or can get it, would you consider sharing? I really appreciate your sharing 'All creatures great and small'. Fantastic!

Thanks again for everything. Cheers! :)

@brdcmcrp: I have these audio books:

'The Lord God Made Them All'
'All Things Bright and Beautiful' (unabridged)
'All Creatures Great and Small' (thank you synapsedkb!)
'Every Living Thing'

...so the only one I don't have from the audio books by Herriot is 'All Things Wise and Wonderful'. As far as I know there are no other audio books. Several of his smaller books were amalgamated into two larger audiobooks.

The local library doesn't have 'All Things Wise and Wonderful' either. I was there yesterday and asked again. They said they might be able to get it on cassette but libraries don't like to loan out CDs as they get damaged easily in transit.

I'll up the Herriot I have and submit a txt for the URL. Give me a day or two.

Here's the link for the JH books. Since I have also have the book synapsedkb shared in that folder (so that it can be shared with non-Avaxians), if you want that book, use the links synapsedkb provided. His share, his points.

Once again thank you synapsedkb! :)
